Just what is it all about anyways...

Do you ever wonder…just what is life really all about? So you were hoping I would have the answer? I don’t. But, I do know what is was about this weekend.

Going to church with my husband. Sitting next to him soaking up God’s word and praising the Lord…pure bliss.

Watching Mary Poppins with my kiddos, giggling and snuggling…a piece of heaven.

Relaxing with my computer and a warm cup of coffee on a cloudy cold May day…calming.

Cleaning the house…strangely soothing, when completed that is.

Stawberries and blueberries with Eagle Brand milk drizzled on top…scrumptious.

Sitting with my Jesus, and loving life, wanting nothing more…contentment.

Bliss, heaven, calm, soothing, scrumptious, contentment in Jesus…yep…that’s what it’s all about.

Linking up with Michelle at Graceful today!!

  1. I love when we slow down enough to savor these simple beautiful pleasures in our lives. Sounds heavenly to me too!

  2. All these lovely moments, strung together . . . equal an awesome, God glorifying life.

  3. This is beyond beautiful. Exuding such peace. What an example.

  4. Isn't it crazy, we spend way too much of our lives chasing, running, striving like Martha, don't you sometimes wonder just how much more our Father would provide for us if we actually made Him our priority.

Luke 10:38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

  5. I've been wanting to watch Mary Poppins with my kids. . .oh, the memories.

Coffee, blueberries, strawberries, and a clean house? Sounds as if your weekend was perfect.

  6. yes..I do ask that question. almost daily;) really I do. and I don't have the answer either:( but your list is good. More and more I am finding that just being..stopping..enjoying brings me more peace and contentment than all of the worldly things..does that make sense?s
I am so happy for you when I read this...this is good. Praying writing is progressing and that He is speaking wonderful things over you and I SO appreciate your words to me...I agree with what you said!..big hugs
