What if the burden was lifted.........for you

So...I am just really wrestling with this phrase, or I guess it's more of a question, that God has put upon my heart.

What if the burden was lifted?

What if the burden was lifted?

So...today I wanted to throw that phrase out to you dear sisters. What does it mean to you? What comes to mind when you hear this?

What if the burden was lifted........

  1. I feel like God is lifting my burden right now, he is freeing me to get back to living abundantly again. After taking one last chance on my broken marriage, like He asked, I can see my way into the future.

  2. To me, I would say, the question means, "What if I truly surrender?"

But, then, too, I think it could also be, "What if I allowed people to help me?"

  3. Ahh, and when I hear this, I think of money. What if the burden of money was lifted? What if I never had to worry about paying this or that? I know money doesn't solve all and sometimes it actually makes things more complicated, but having money be a nonissue in my life, would sure be amazing.

  4. The burden IS lifted - that's what comes to my mind. That and Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

His yoke is easy and HIS BURDEN IS LIGHT.

I have to remind myself often to let him take it but take it He does... Every time.
